Guided by an entrepreneurial spirit, and having a stellar reputation he began West Troy Tool & Machine (West Troy) in 1987. Earl quickly developed a diverse customer base, and soon was building specialized assembly machines and high quality tooling for leading companies across Southwest Ohio.
From these roots West Troy became an established contract manufacturer for automotive, consumer, and industrial customers. In 2000 his son, Warren Davidson, joined the company after a career as an Army officer. After successfully transitioning the company from a small job shop into a high-volume contract manufacturing company, Warren purchased West Troy from Earl in 2005.
Today
West Troy has successfully supplied billions of parts and assemblies while maintaining the same standard of excellence that launched the company. We have achieved sustained excellence for nearly 24 years while serving the Filtration, Industrial, and Building Products Markets. Since 2008 while most manufacturers were downsized or went bankrupt, West Troy leveraged its solid financial and operational foundation while remaining profitable with consistent revenue growth.
Our people take considerable pride in the work we do while serving customers in Canada, Mexico, and throughout the United States.
West Troy is also a past winner of the Governor’s Export Excellence Award. Drawing employees from area farming and manufacturing communities allows West Troy to build upon highly skilled people having Midwestern values. Our diverse capabilities are reflected in the high-quality Stamping, Welding, Machining, and Assembly Operations performed in our plant. Customers tell us that our core competencies include Value-Added / Value-Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Prototype Development, Tooling, and high-volume metal/plastic parts and assemblies.
It is impossible to make great products without great tooling, and West Troy supports our customers with over 2 ½ centuries of in-house Tool & Die experience.
